Poppy’s parents are behaving very weirdly. In fact, all the adults are behaving weirdly. And there is a strange fungus spreading quickly through the town. Is this fungus connected to the weird behaviour? Poppy and her friend Andrew are starting to realise that the fungus can think for itself, and it may not come from Earth. But what can they possibly do about it?

Poppy’s morning is not going well. Her parents didn’t wake her up, and they’ve forgotten to make breakfast. Also, there are weird mushrooms growing on the stairs. Can her friend Andrew explain it all?
